BALTIMORE, 05-25-08---Jockey Erick Rodriguez was transported to nearby Sinai Hospital for x-rays on his left knee and abdomen after he was thrown from his mount during the running of today’s sixth race at Pimlico Race Course.
Listen Up had spurted to the lead in the six furlong test on the main track and had just surrendered the lead to the ultimate race winner Puskita when she banged into the inner rail and sent Rodriguez tumbling over the barrier.
Listen Up was unharmed.
The 28-year-old Rodriguez won back-to-back races earlier on the Sunday card to move into a tie for second place in the Pimlico rider standings.
