2012 SEASON: finished fourth in the local standings with 81 victories…tied Abel Castellano for the top spot in the colony with eight stakes wins in the state, including two aboard top sprinter Action Andy (Maryland Million Sprint and Frank J. De Francis Dash)…also won the Maryland Million Turf with Roadhog…the two-win day moved him into a fifth place tie with Julie Krone and Mark Johnston with eight Maryland Million victories…had 19 turf victories during the Laurel Park fall meeting.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: arrived in Maryland in 2002 and has been a consistent figure in the colony… finished third in the Maryland standings in ’02 with 169 victories…tied for fifth a year later, was sixth in 2004, fourth in 2005 and second in 2007…has four riding titles in the state: 2002 Laurel summer, 2003 Pimlico summer-fall, 2007 Laurel fall and 2010 Pimlico spring…ranked 22nd in North America with 237 winners in 2002…tied a Laurel record by riding seven winners on October 26, 2002…captured his first US riding title at Colonial Downs in 2002 and won five titles there including three straight (2007-09)…won the 2007 Virginia Derby (G2) aboard Red Giant…one of the top riders in Argentina for a decade (with more than 1,500 victories) before moving to south Florida in 2001 where he was eighth in the jockey standings at Calder…first domestic winner was aboard Hallow Connection at Calder in 2001…earned 1,000th domestic winner at Laurel on April 14, 2007 with Royalties…won a pair of races on Maryland Million day in 2009: Broadway Producer (Turf) and Miss Charm City (Lassie)…rode 285 winners in his native Argentina from October 2008-March 2010 before returning to Maryland.
