Preakness, BESD & InfieldFest Tickets Go On Sale Monday, Oct. 5

Tickets for Black-Eyed Susan, InfieldFest On Sale Same Day
 
 BALTIMORE – The Maryland Jockey Club announced today that tickets for 2016 Preakness Stakes, Black-Eyed Susan Day and InfieldFest at historic Pimlico Race Course will go on sale Monday, Oct. 5.
 
The 141st running of the Preakness Stakes – the Middle Jewel of Thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown – and InfieldFest will take place Saturday, May 21. Black-Eyed Susan Day – the Ultimate Girls Day Out – will take place Friday, May 20.
 
Tickets can be purchased by calling the Preakness ticket office (877-206-8042) or by logging onto  https://www.ticketfly.com/org/1780. 
 
Renewal invoices to secure the same tickets as 2015 will be sent out Oct. 5 with a deadline of Jan. 15, 2016. 
 
The Preakness Stakes, first contested in 1873 and called “The People’s Race…The People’s Party,” is one of the largest single-day sporting events in North America and the biggest in the Mid-Atlantic. A record Pimlico crowd of 131,680 and a nationally-televised NBC audience watched American Pharoah dramatically win the Preakness. Three weeks later, the Bob Baffert-
trained colt would go on to become the first horse Triple Crown winner in 37 years.
 
Black-Eyed Susan Day, which this year attracted more than 42,000, is a celebration of the spirit and strength of women and helps to raise awareness for the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and Susan G. Komen Maryland. The afternoon was highlighted by Commissioner’s victory in the Pimlico Special and Keen Pauline’s victory in the Black-Eyed Susan.
 
InfieldFest has become one of the country’s most eclectic music festivals featuring two stages,
unique attractions and the popular MUG Club. InfieldFest has also played host to such artists as Lorde, Zac Brown, Maroon 5, Armin van Buuren, Florida Georgia Line, Bruno Mars, Pitbull and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
 
Just as in previous years, there will be tiers of pricing, based on calendar days, for Infield and MUG Club tickets:
