2013 SEASON: won 13 races at the major Maryland tracks…reached 1,000 milestone with Miss Speaker at Delaware Park on September 18.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: trained Captain Bodgit to victories in the 1997 Florida Derby (G1) and Wood Memorial Stakes (G1), a second place finish in the Kentucky Derby (G1) and a thrilling third place in the Preakness Stakes (G1)…conditioned Cherokee’s Boy who won 15 stakes races during his career and ranks 13th on the all-time list of Maryland-breds with $1,177,946 in career earnings, the son of Citidancer failed to pick up a check just once in 48 career starts, the 2003 Preakness…Steady Warrior, a son of Cherokee’s Boy, was three-of-five during his 2-year-old campaign in 2010 with two stakes wins, including the Maryland Million Nursery…claimed Run Charlie Run for $5,000 and developed him into a winner of 13 races and more than $100,000…saddled Ibex to a fifth place finish in the 1993 Pimlico Special…trained multiple stakes winners Silver Tango, Holiday Ball, Jest Punching and Grundlefoot…first win was with Superior Blend in 1988 at Pimlico…in 2008, won nine of 10 starts at Laurel from Nov. 14 (his 45th birthday) to Dec. 20 and finished the year with 20 in the money finishes from his final 21 starters…that year he captured the Laurel Park summer meet title and won races at a 28.3% clip at Laurel and Pimlico.
