2014 SEASON: ranked 20th in Maryland with 15 wins…Bandbox captured the general George Handicap (G3)…Golden Years won 3-of-4 races including the Maryland Million Nursery and The Marylander Stakes.

 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: ranked in the top 20 in the Maryland standings 14 times in the last 15 years…finished in the top 100 nationally in wins three times during a four-year period from 2007-2010…captured 2002 Laurel summer meet title…named outstanding trainer by MTHA in 2003…conditioned Willa On The Move, who finished second in the Miss Preakness (G3) and Acorn (G2)…trained multiple stakes winners Outstander, Mt. Carson and G3 winner Running Tide…Chasin Tiger won five races in the state during the 2007 campaign…first winner was Wolftalk on August 2, 1998 at Laurel Park…during a 24-hour period from Nov. 11-12, 2009 won six races, including four at Laurel Park.

 

PERSONAL: dominated the American show ring in the 1960s, '70s and through most of the '80s, and retired as the sports winningest rider...inducted into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame in 1999, and the roster of fine horses ridden by Jenkins reads like a Hall of Fame entry in itself, topped by one of the greatest -- Idle Dice…won more than 70 grand prix classes, rode on ten winning Nations Cup teams between 1973 and 1987, earned two silver medals in the 1987 Pan American Games as a member of the US Equestrian Team.
