2014 SEASON: tied for seventh in the local standings with 30 wins…Eighttofasttocatch won the Maryland Million Classic for the third time, the Jennings Handicap for the fourth consecutive year and became the 24th Maryland-bred to reach the $1 million mark in career earnings ($1,072,990)…Lunar Rock won the Deputed Testamony Stakes…saddled three winners on April 12 at Pimlico.

 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: set career-highs in both wins (43) in 2011… Eighttofasttocatch won four stakes races at Laurel that year, including the Md. Million Classic, while Red’s Round Table won the Wide Country and Marshua Stakes …Celtic Innis won a pair of added money races in 2005 and 2006 and won the Md. Million Sprint in 2008…The son of Yarrow Brae was nine-for-38 with 27 in the money finishes at the 6-furlong distance and ended his seven-year career in 2010 with $648,638 in earnings…saddled Anarex to the 1994 Md. Million Distaff Starter title…first win with Via Hawaii in June 1994 at Laurel Park.

 

PERSONAL: was steeplechase jockey before getting his trainer’s license…credits Joe Aitcheson for getting him interested in the business…competed in an Ironman Triathlons in 2011 and 2013 to raise money for horse-related charities.
