Summer Meet Scheduled to Resume with Nine Races Saturday

BALTIMORE – A forecast calling for high winds and heavy rain in the wake of Tropical Storm Debby has led the Maryland Jockey Club to cancel Friday’s nine-race program at Laurel Park.

The tropical storm, which first made landfall last week in Florida, has moved up the East Coast and was expected to pass through the Mid-Atlantic region bringing wind gusts of up to 33 mph and as much as two inches of rain according to the National Weather Service.
