Karamanos Rides Three Winners Sunday

BALTIMORE, 04-06-14---Horacio Karamanos capped a successful opening week at Pimlico Race Course by riding three winners Sunday afternoon. The 40-year-old visited the winners’ circle with Cherokee Empire ($9.40-race 1), Saintly Feelings ($22-race 5) and Citizen Chris ($12.20-race 9).

“It was a good week,” said Karamanos. “The switch from Laurel to Pimlico is good. I took off a month and a half to begin the year so the winter was slow. Business is picking up.”

Karamanos finished the week with five winners from 14 mounts. Three of the victories were for trainer Ferris Allen, including Cherokee Empire and Citizen Chris today.
