Friday's Stronach 5 Has 145 Winning Tickets Each Worth $705

BALTIMORE, MD –There were 145 winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5, each worth $705.80.
 
The Stronach 5 , with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, featured races from Laurel Park and Gulfstream Park West. The fifth leg of the Stronach 5 was an ‘all’ when Golden Gate Fields cancelled its Friday program.
 
Laurel kicked off the Stronach 5 with three consecutive racing starting in Race 7, a waiver maiden claimer for 2-year-olds sprinting seven furlongs that was won by the 2-5 favorite Hello Hot Rod.
 
The sequence continued in Race 8, a starter optional claimer for 3-year-olds and up going six furlongs, that was won by the 4-5 favorite Phantom Ro. The third and last leg of the Stronach 5 from Laurel wrapped up with Find Your Boaz, a 15-1 shot, winning the ninth race.
 
Gulfstream’s ninth race, the fourth leg of the Stronach 5, was won by favored Free to Fly.

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.
 
If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
 
The Maryland Jockey Club serves as host of the Stronach 5.
