Baltimore, MD – The Maryland Jockey Club announced today that its Horseshoe Casino off-track betting facility will reopen for business starting Monday, June 29 at 11:30 a.m.
Located at 1525 Russell St. in downtown Baltimore, less than a mile from both Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium, the Horseshoe Casino becomes the MJC’s eighth OTB location to reopen following their closure amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Horseshoe Casino OTB will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Guests will be required to have a high-tech temperature scan at the door and wear face coverings and follow all proper social distancing guidelines.
On June 20, coinciding with the running of the 152nd Belmont Stakes (G1), the MJC reopened its Maryland OTB facilities at Greenmount Station in Hampstead, Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, GBoone’s Events Center in Boonsboro and Hollywood Casino in Perryville, as well as the Riverboat Restaurant in Colonial Beach, Va.
All six of those facilities open at 11:30 a.m. each day, with tellers on window starting at noon.
On June 25, Pimlico was reopened for simulcasting Wednesday through Sunday beginning at 11:30 a.m. and closing approximately at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11:45 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8:30 p.m. on Sundays.
Mondays and Tuesdays will remain dark days at Pimlico. To allow for proper social distancing guidelines on simulcast days, customers will be able to access both the first and second floors of the Pimlico clubhouse.
All guests, contractors, suppliers, vendors and employees at Pimlico will be required to have temperature checks and wear face coverings.
The MGM National Harbor Racebook remains closed to the public, along with the MJC’s Rosecroft Raceway and Laurel Park.
Thoroughbred racing in Maryland is currently being conducted Fridays and Saturdays at Laurel Park. The next live programs are set to take place Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 starting at 12:40 p.m. each day.
