Preakness Media Application Now Online

Woods, Frutkoff Entries Welcome for Preakness Awards
 
BALTIMORE - The Maryland Jockey Club is now accepting media credential applications for the 141st running of the Preakness Stakes, to be run Saturday, May 21 at historic Pimlico Race Course.
 
Members of the media can apply for credentials by clicking here.
 
Applications should be completed in full and requests must include an attached digital photo (.jpg) of the writer or photographer covering the event. Preakness media credentials will be issued to members of the working media. Freelancer requests must come from an assigning editor.
 
Preakness credentials will be good for Preakness Week, including Black-Eyed Susan Day Friday, May 20.
 
The Maryland Jockey Club is also accepting entries for the David F. Woods Memorial Award, presented annually to the writer of the best Preakness story from the previous year, and the Jerry Frutkoff Photography Award, sponsored by Nikon, and presented to the photographer of the best Preakness picture from the previous year. 
 
Recipients of the David F. Woods Award and Jerry Frutkoff Award will be honored at the historic Alibi Breakfast Thursday, May 19. The Alibi Breakfast, which started in the late 1930s, features a gathering of media, owners, trainers, breeders and jockeys to celebrate Preakness and solicit interesting race predictions.
