Seven Winning Tickets with $26.60 Winner

BALTIMORE – There were seven winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5, each worth $11,497.70.

Friday’s Stronach 5 featured races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita Park along with three turf races and a low 12-percent takeout.

The Stronach 5 started with the first three winners all paying under $8. Miss Majorette ($4.80) won Laurel’s eighth race, the opening leg of the Stronach 5, Mister Luigi, who spent the summer at Saratoga, won Gulfstream’s eighth race ($5.80), and The Man to See ($7.80) won Laurel’s ninth, giving trainer Lacey Gaudet two wins on the afternoon.

The Stronach 5 headed west for the final two legs at Santa Anita. The third race at Santa Anita was won by the longshot C Falls ($26.60). Santa Anita’s fourth race concluded the Stronach 5 and it was Destiny’s Journey ($13.20) and jockey Abel Cedillo drawing away down the stretch to win at 4-1 for trainer Steve Knapp.

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
