There are 40 Winners in Friday's Stronach 5

BALTIMORE – Friday’s Stronach 5, featuring races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park, Golden Gate Fields and Santa Anita Park’s opening day program, produced 40 winning tickets with each worth $1,525.70.

No winner in the sequence returned more than $9.60.

The Stronach 5, featuring a low 12-percent takeout, began with Laurel’s eighth race, a competitive maiden special weight event for 2-year-olds featuring several promising juveniles. It was Trust Daddy, 2-1, a son of Bird Song, holding off Godolphin LLC’s Holiday House for the victory. Gulfstream’s eighth race, a claiming event for fillies and mares at 5 ½ furlongs, was next up, won by Reagan’s Rose ($9.60). Laurel’s ninth race served as the third leg of the sequence. The wide-open turf event for claimers 3-year-olds and up was won by favored Minister’s Strike.

The action headed west for legs four and five. Santa Anita’s third race, a competitive event at five furlongs on the turf for 2-year-olds, was won by favored Elevado, trained by Mike Puype and ridden by Joel Rosario. The Stronach 5 concluded with Golden Gate’s fourth race and favored Arouse N Go winning.

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
